A co-director and founder member of Swiftdale. John hails from a wireline, Mud Logging/Data Engineering and LWD/MWD background, gained with Schlumberger and Exploration Logging (BHI). He is very competent in computing and computer-graphics (having built this website), and has produced multimedia presentations for clients at AAPP and SPE conventions.

John is highly experienced consultant both in Operations and Wellsite Geology. He has also held the post of Exploration Manager, and has been involved with development and exploration programmes. John is an integral team member and can assist any client from the planning stage through to well completion.

Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, France, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Kuwait, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Australia, USA (Gulf of Mexico & California), Pakistan, Trinidad, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Chad, Uganda, Ethiopia and Guinea Bisseau. UK experience includes the Central and Southern North Sea, onshore UK in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Cumbria.

Relevant Experience

John has experienced a wide range of geological environments worldwide, and encountered reservoirs in fractured Granite Basement systems, carbonates – reefal, platform, karstified etc., through to varied clastics. He has considerable experience drilling overpressured sections and HTHP wells, and also experience in high angle development drilling and horizontal geosteering.
